The OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro have been released. This is a quick review of the phones and my thoughts and opinion on OnePlus as a company. These are the best android phones. Period. OnePlus has entered flagship territory and their new target is the US. With smartphone companies like Apple and Samsung who have a strong brand presence, OnePlus is attempting to take down a behemoth. Now the focus now on the US and challenging the iPhone 11 Pro Max, a $999 (and $899) price tag might be tough for OnePlus fans to swallow. From being a flagship killer to a now flagship company, their presence overseas might become hurt with all their focus on Apple in the US. Samsung has tried, but Apple has a strong grip on the American population. Around the world and even here in the US where people don’t want thousand-dollar phones, it is odd for OnePlus to release a device so expensive. Smartphone companies have begun making their own mid-range phones so competing in that space is even hard. Overseas like in India where OnePlus is #1, might drop as their brand image might change.
